Time for Change

Time for Change is for young women caught up in the criminal justice system who need help to turn a corner. Unlike our other services, women can self-refer if they feel they are ready to make a change and take steps towards improving their life circumstances. The women we work with often have a history of trauma and difficult upbringings which led them to involvement in the criminal justice system and need support to build a new life. 

We offer emotional support and the chance for young women to build relationships with an honest, reliable worker who will be there to listen to them. We can help them to find legal support, somewhere safe to stay, employment and financial support, improve their health and wellbeing, and education opportunities.

 We can support up to 45 women each year and often work with women moving out of prison or secure accommodation. We also work with women who have moved on from the criminal justice system but need support with their mental health, housing, employment, or other needs. There is no cost associated with this service.
